The Lead screw is a mechanical device that converts rotary motion into linear motion, based on the principle of helix. It consists of a thread and a nut, the thread is a helix, and the nut is a part inside the thread. When the thread is rotated, the nut moves linearly along the thread. Therefore, by rotating the thread, linear motion can be achieved.

The Lead screw works based on the bevel of the helix. When the thread is rotated, the bevel of the thread pushes the nut forward or backward. This movement is very precise because the bevel of the thread and the geometry of the nut are very precise.
